āž• What's Changed?

What’s Changed from

Season 8 to Season 9?

The big take away was bone barrage had way too much dps and was brought back in line. DemonSpawn's single target has been reduced, but still extremely strong.

ā–¶ļø Loot Filters

The loot filter system in Hero Siege is a massive quality-of-life improvement that gives you complete control over what loot is visible on your screen. This powerful tool is designed to eliminate clutter and help you focus on the items that matter most for your build.

When you open the loot filter interface, you'll see a list of every item type in the game, from Weapons and Armor to Socketables and Charms and their respective tiers.

Affix-Based Filtering: To begin creating a custom filter, simply click on any item type. This will open a detailed sub-menu where you can select specific affixes you are looking for. You can choose to show or hide items based on a huge variety of stats. This allows you to filter out thousands of useless items while ensuring you never miss a potential upgrade.

Importing & Exporting: One of the most significant features of this system is the ability to easily share filters with the community. On the Manage Filters screen, you will find both Import and Export options. When you export a filter, the game copies its data to your clipboard as a string of code. You can then paste this code anywhere—in a Discord channel, a build guide, or to a friend. To use a filter someone else has made, simply copy their code and use the Import function to load it directly into your game.

Account-Based Saving: This new system is cloud-based, meaning your filters are saved directly to your account. This is a huge benefit, as it means you can access and use your filters on any character. Once you have a filter set up, you can save it under My Filters and it will be there for all your characters and future seasons.

🌳 Skill Tree(s)

All Trees

This section has all skill trees, sub-skill trees and incarnation trees for this build at all stages of the game.

Level 1-7

Skill Tree: Level 1 - 7

For leveling, we will be primarily using Bonestorm as it’s super comfy, does great damage and doesn’t really cost mana since it’s a cdr based skill

You can use any of the level 1 skills to start with.

Doesn’t really matter which.

Level 8-15

Skill Tree: Level 8 - 15

Max Bonestorm for most dps

Level 16-23

Skill Tree: Level 16 - 23

Place points in Demonic Presence for additional arcane damage or continue maxing Bonestorm.

Level 30

Skill Tree: Level 24 - 30

Continue maxing Bonestorm

Place points in Demonic Presence/Ominous Aura for additional arcane skill damage. Aura if in party.

1 points in Mana Devour if you need mana sustain

Level 40

Skill Tree: Level 40

At level 40, you have several leveling options’

You can continue leveling with Bonestorm. I would at least put Bone Fragments on second loadout for bossing and use Bonestorm during map traversal.

You can also use Bone Barrage if you prefer. All skill trees are available below

Level 70

Skill Tree: Level 70

I continued with Bonestorm.

Use second loadout for Bone Fragments to kill bosses.

If you chose a different skill, just put points in synergies.

Bone Fragments

Skill Tree: Bone Fragments

Max Bone Fragments

Max Cartilage Build Up

Max Ominous Aura

Max Demonic Presence

1 Pt Mana Shield + Mana Devour, Blood Demons, Single Out

Rest Ossification

Blood Surge

Tree if you want to play Surge. Greyed skills are 20 hard points rest going into Guts Spread

Bone Storm

Bone Storm

Bone Barrage

Bone Barrage

🌓 Sub-Skill Tree(s)

Simply click the + in the top right of the skill you’re looking to spec into and a new window will pop-up. You gain 1 point for every 5 character levels for every skill you have allocated. You can reset this tree anytime for free.

Listed below are all the sub-skill trees I recommend while leveling as well as the final level 100 tree!

Bone Fragments.

Bone Fragments

Single Target setup

Bonestorm.

Bonestorm

Max AoE, Bleed Chance, Arcane break. Rest doesn’t really matter. I like this augment for QoL.

Blood Bolts.

Blood Bolts

Mainly used for this extra buff

Impale.

Impale

Used to proc burn and break.

Blood Surge.

Blood Surge

Blood surge is super strong, strong enough that I don’t recommend getting your augment at 40 but use the following:

You can path to Hematophoiesis and grab the first node at 55 then start dumping points into Asphyxiating Vessels until you can get the 2nd point in the aug at 70:

Finally your tree should look like this at 100, there are 2 points for swing. You can put them in more crit for damage if you feel your clear isn’t fast enough or into Demon Wings for less diminish until you can find other sources:

Bone Barrage.

Bone Barrage

Fantastic clear skill as well. It can shotgun tough enemies, but you’ll be very close to them.

🌲 Incarnation Tree(s)

Incarnation Levels

This section provides suggested paths for your Incarnation Tree based on how you want to play the build. These paths are designed as flexible frameworks rather than strict "1:1 copies," as your optimal setup depends heavily on your gear.

While these suggestions account for common gear milestones, you should adapt your choices based on your current stats and preferred build feel. Use these paths as a foundation, but feel free to pivot as needed.

There will be a ton of mix and matching between the different trees as you level up!

Level 10

Level 10 - My Recommendation

Massive upfront damage

Level 20

Level 20 - My Recommendation

Build in resistance for survivability and a little faster cast rate

Level 30.

Level 30 - My Recommendation

Start working towards spell crit and grab a little movement speed.

Endgame Recommendation

Endgame Ā - My Recommendation

MANY More Trees

WIP WILL UPDATE AS SEASON STARTS AND WE UNCOVER MORE!

Intelligence Stacking & Arcane Damage

Faster Cast Rate Stacking

Skill Haste Focus

Spell Crit Focused

AoE Focused

That’s 5% chance for AoE skills to gain a stack of ramping pulse which gives more AoE stacking up to 10 times.

Spell Ailment Build Focus

Ailment builds revolve around this node.

The circled area are nodes for certain ailment elements like poisoned, stasis, burning, bleeding.

Orbital Spell Focus

Tons of support for orbital spell duration, damage and size.

Life Stacking / Survival Tree

This is just to showcase how much life you can obtain. This can greatly help you farm experience.

Manastacking

Manastacking is definitely an endgame tree, but here’s a skeleton of what it could look like for you.

High Resistance Stacking for Celestial’s Conversion

40% all resistances converts into elemental damage which then converts to arcane damage

Negative Res Stacking

Summoner Focus

Sentries Focus

āš’ļø Attribute Allocation

Skills can be quite expensive to use. You will want to put all points into energy until you find your first ā€œ+x lightning/arcane skill damageā€ item and some sustain.

After that, follow a 50/50 split rule between Intelligence and Vitality.

When leveling:

2 points Intelligence

2 points Vitality

Enough energy to feel comfortable

Endgame:

All Intelligence

šŸ—”ļø Gearing

This section is designed to give you workable suggestions on what gear to acquire at different stages of the game.

You, as a player, need to look at your current gear and figure out what options make sense for you.

Due to the addition of sub-skill trees there will be item proc combos that will not be listed here as they aren’t discovered yet.

It’s up to you to experiment.

šŸ›”ļø Leveling 1-100

Leveling Gear

For most of your leveling journey, you'll be looking for Rare or Mythic items that match your character's damage type. While you will find some useful Satanic items, you shouldn't rely on them since they are not guaranteed to drop. The goal is to keep progressing, not to stop and farm for specific gear. I have a section dedicated to useful leveling satanics to look for.

Runewords are still available in Season 9, but runes are less common. You can get runes by completing quests in Acts 1 on Normal, Nightmare, and Hell difficulties. You can then use the Prospect Station in Act 1 to downgrade them as needed. You'll also naturally find runes as you play.

Before you create a runeword, make sure to check the level requirements for both the runes and the white base item. The in-game journal can sometimes be misleading, so it's always best to double-check these requirements yourself.

šŸ›‘ Gems

Arcane Gems (Amethyst)

Arcane Gems, also known as Amethysts, will help you at all stages of the game. Their main purpose is to just get you more damage. Especially early on when your skills feel a little weak, these can really give it that extra push.

Every ~7Ā or so arcane damage equals 1Ā skill point. This may vary as it mostly depends on the skill, but this is an easy way to think about how much damage they’re giving. You can also look at the arcane damage tooltips on skills to see exactly how much the gems are increasing your damage.

ā–¶ļø Budget/Fresh 100

Early Game

This section is designed to help you gear as a fresh level 100 character. There is no BiS gear at this point.Ā Most items could be swapped with strong mythics. Item decisions will revolve around how your character feels over direct power upgrades.

For example,Ā if your character has a built-in teleport, but low cast rate, choosing items that have higher faster cast rate than others can make the build feel smoother.

You could put any combination of these budget items together and feel capable of completing Hell difficulty and begin pushing difficulty.

With the new skill tags on Augments, my item suggestions are a little broader now. In most cases, I’ve added a 'hint' next to each one to explain in what situation you may choose a particular item.

DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE HOW STRONG MYTHICĀ ITEMS CAN BE!

Thor Set

Thor’s Set: So damn strong early for Arcane Casters

Weapon..

Weapons

Please check a weapon in the in-game journal to ensure your class can wear it. Not all classes can wear all weapon types. For example, Marksman cannot wear Wands or Spellblades even though it has a full caster tree.

Skysong: Extreme budget

Damien’s Head: Great if your spell(s) have projectiles. Huge sustain, 35 intelligence with % int and 30% fcr. Even if you’re not a proj build, this thing is mean.

Earth Shaper’s Talons: Huge mana pool and resistances while offering solid damage. Very nice.

Spirit Walker’s Guide: Pretty basic; extreme budget. Offers fcr + arcane skill damage.

Unholy God’s Flail: Huge life pool with 4 sockets. -20% arcane resistance and ~20% arcane damage is quite a lot early on to work with. Use this if you have other -enemy res items or just need some life.

Satan’s Unholy Bible: Great for mana sustain on bosses with the 100% replenish, high fcr with flat skill damage and pen. Insane for elemental (uses all damage types) skills.

Holy Warrior’s Phase Blade: Skills, damage, sockets. Good option until you find an upgrade.

God’s Benevolence: Best to use if your skill is cooldown based. Especially since it’s flat magic skill damage meaning it can be used with any elemental type.

Demon Blood Flask: Another high mana and fcr option. Can be ok until upgrades.

Off-Hand..

Off-Hands

Skysong: Extreme budget

Divine Contemplation: Huge all res on an extreme budget

Spellbinder’s Magebarrier: Great for sustain, skills, fcr and up to 4 sockets.

Rift Eye: Disgusting shield. Up to 5 skills with fcr, arcane skill damage and a hefty mana pool and replenish. Use this if you cast a lot and need a thick mana pool for it.

Suomi Finland Suatana: Resistance shield with damage and fcr. Good all rounder.

Shadow Buckler: Similar to others, but missing fcr and attributes. Only use as a cheap alternative until you can get something better.

Gem Encrusted Tower: Very defensive shield with up to 6 sockets for flexibility. Use this if you need to cap resistance and get beefy

Sacred Aegis: Stupid life shield. Use this to not really need to worry about being tanky enough early and save space on other pieces of gear.

King’s Tower Shield: Similar to Gem Encrusted Tower, but offers all attributes, bit more resistances.

The Templar: Good life bump with skills and movement speed. Nice if you don’t have an innate movement skill.

Iron Giants Shield: Good if you get hit a lot. Xdd The last stand proc is quite nice, but you’ll need a decent life pool to ever see its effects.

Heaven’s Champion: If high rolled, awesome shield. Great for sustain and early damage.

Lost Wizard’s Barrier: Great shield for cooldown based skills.

Helmet..

Helmets

Scholar: Extreme budget helm. 11% PDR kinda hot

Witches Brimmed Hat: Great DPS helmet! Pair with other -enemy resistance items to eat through monster resistances in early Hell.

Crown of Midnight: High DPS helmet if rolled well. Great if you have a healthy -enemy resistance amount already and just want to squeeze out more damage.

The Curator of Secrets: Very nice for skills that need solid fcr for damage. Up to 25% all res is a nice bonus too!

Delirium Tremens: When made on a + skills base you could get anywhere from +6 to +13 all skills. That’s a lot of damage for one item.

*Runes drops have been highly nerfed in S9 so no telling how expensive these runes will be. Rather you know about it early and watch prices than assume market value.

Thor’s Battle Cap: Even if you aren’t using the full set, this helmet is a great all-rounder helmet.

Veil of Consecration: Huge life and resistances. This helm is great for characters that have non-damaging aura’s.

Example:

Non-Damaging Aura:Ā Ominous Aura increases arcane skill damage.

Damaging Aura:Ā Holy Shock Aura -> Puts a circle around you that deals damage.

Death Lord’s Crown: Even if you aren’t using the full set, this helmet is still a cheap pick-up.

Chest..

Chests

Fog: Extreme budget resistance chest!

Ent’s Blessing: 300+ life with life and mana replenish. Decent defensive chest for a Pul cost.

Angul Auxana: Very high dps chest for a low rune cost.

Arcane Gladiator’s Armor: Up to -30% enemy arcane resistance on one item is disgusting. Doesn’t offer much else, but a good starter chest.

Grandwizard’s Robe: Nice all-rounder. Great for fcr based skills. The added PDR is quite nice.

Lichbane: Huge damage potential with solid mana replenish. Great for mana heavy builds.

Magister’s Robe: Great for builds that need high fcr

Arcane Robes of Authority: Probably the best chest on this list. Has a bit of everything and up to 3 sockets.

Heaven’s Might: Huge life (100 vit) and damage reduction chest with up to 4 skills and 6 sockets. Just a solid chest. I love this thing.

Anubis’ Torso: Cheaper life chest

Gloves..

Gloves

Mythic Gloves: Gloves can get some insane combinations. I had a pair of +4 cold skills with 50 int and 48 magic skill damage in beta. Keep your eyes peeled.

Conjurer Mitts: Decent starter gloves. Cheap.

Wisdom’s Hold: Damage, fcr, bit of mana. Great for any caster.

Sorcerer’s Surge Grips/Shadow Grasp/Battle Caster’s Gauntlets, Demonweaver’s Heralds: Useful for skills that have a cooldown

Mevius’ Mighty Gauntlets: % life and mana gloves. These can roll any element for the +skills.

Bone Conjurer’s Grips: High damage arcane gloves.

Anubis’ Mighty Hands: Very cheap starter gloves.

Boots..

Boots

Quickstep: Very cheap and highest movement speed boots you’ll get for a long time.

Ghost: Little slower than quickstep, but +2 skills, damage reduction and movement phasing (pass through monsters). These are always my preference until teleport.

Grand Wizard’s Silk Shoes: Highest damage potential with +3 skills and up to 20% fcr, but 10% movement speed is just so bad. Only use it if you have a teleport. The small damage increase isn’t worth losing 70% movement speed.

Hermes Boots: Best all-arounder boots. Int, all rest and decent movement speed. You also get jumping power which is nice for movement.

Belt..

Belts

Gaze of the Void: This is pretty much the belt you want with high rolls. Wonderful dps belt.

Sash of the Magi: Another great belt. Very nice for classes that need high fcr for dps or mana hungry skills.

Cingulum of Shifting Destiny: Decent belt if it rolls this class.

Vipermagi’s Belt: Good resistance belt that can still offer some damage support.

Commander’s Sash: Skill, pdr, resistance. Can be a good option until swapping to others.

Knight’s Girdle: Skills and life belt. Another tank option until you can make the swap to a dps belt.

Lich Sash: Good if you need arcane resistance

Rings..

Rings

Mythic Rings: Do not hide rings from your filter. I have a +5 arcane, +4 sentry skills, life ring. I’ve seen some insane rings.

Soulforged Ring: You 100% will want to farm the questline for this ring. The experience increase with all these stats is just too strong to pass up.

Iron Ring of Prometheus: Insane rings for high fcr based skills or mana hungry skills.

Khodo’s Wedding Band: Wonderful ring. Skills, movement speed, up to 400 life.

Elven Grace: Not the most useful ring, but still has +2 skills.

Ring of Tallus: Decent life ring with a skill. Cheaper Khodo’s.

Satanic Eye: Resistance ring with up to 20 attributes. Best all-rounder ring.

Amulet..

Amulets

Devil’s Gem: Insane dps amulet

Dark Lord’s Sigil: Roll dependent, but all extreme strong dps amulet with 15% all res

Arcane Slayer’s Talisman: This is a D tier….lmao. 3 skills and INSANE mana replenish. If you’re struggling on mana sustain on bosses, get this.

All Seeing Eye: Magic find option with good dps and mana replenish for sustain. The +5 light radius is great too as it will increase our base movement speed scaling.

Elder’s Heart: Probably the highest life amulet in the game. Huge roll range, but great survivability amulet.

Damien’s Soulstone: The red text is a random rolled affix. Could get a crazy combo here. Either way a cheaper Dark Lord’s.

Shining Pearl: Extremely budget.

Unfathomable Puzzle: At max rolls, this is an 85 magic skill damage amulet and 65 intelligence. That’s cracked. Sleeper OP amulet tbh

Amethyst Knight’s Amulet: High cast rate amulet with flat arcane skill damage. Great starter amulet until you can upgrade.

Anubis’ Oculus: Another huge life amulet

Gambler’s Demise: Insane amulet if it hits good rolls.

Traveler’s Compass: Movement speed and magic find option. Also comes with all attributes, which is nice.

Charms..

Charms

Mythic Charm Affixes to Keep:

  1. All Skills
  2. Flat Arcane Skill Damage
  3. Resistance/All Res
  4. Life/Life%
  5. Magic Skill Damage
  6. Enhanced Defense
  7. Cast/Attack Speed
  8. Movement Speed
  9. Life/Mana on Kill

ā–¶ļø Progression Gear

Progression Gearing

This section is dedicated to itemization options that extend beyond the initial leveling phase and early Hell difficulty. Its purpose is to provide you with a variety of resources and choices, helping you decide what gear to pursue for your build.

Given the significant rework to target farming back in Season 9 and the massive new incarnation tree, it's a great time to experiment. If you're unsure which item is best for a specific gear slot, don't hesitate to grind for a few different options to find what works best for your playstyle. The items listed here are not absolute "best-in-slot" choices but rather strong suggestions and advice to guide your progression.

šŸ›‘ READ ME

Before we dive into the specifics, a quick but important note: all of the progression gear in this guide is based on theory and data from prior seasons. It's vital to recognize that Hero Siege lacks a build simulator (Path of Building), and the Season 9 Beta does notĀ feature an item spawner, which limits the ability to conduct direct, comprehensive in-game testing. As a result, these recommendations are the product of careful analysis by myself and the community. It is designed to be a roadmap for your character's progression, but is NOT a Bible.

This guide is designed to get your character up to Hell 5 difficulty and unlock Inferno.

Use the class discussions in Hero Siege Discord to communicate with other players who obtain extremely high hero levels and gear for Uber Endgame direction.

🐾 Molten Paw

Molten Paw is a claw we put on our back bar to add fire enchant to our front bar attacks which will cause enemies to burning/ignite. This is beneficial for items that give us extra damageĀ to burning monsters. Note: This has been nerfed. Please read items. If it says ā€œextra fire damage to burning monstersā€ this will not work for phys. It has to say either ā€œextra phys or extra damage.ā€

Examples below:

Weapon...

Weapon

Divinity/Celetus: These runewords are decent options.

*Runes drops have been highly nerfed in S9 so no telling how expensive these runes will be.

Blood of Abaddon: This staff is GG EZ for Demonspawn. Literally just get it.

Spell Eater: If Blood of Abaddon didn’t exist, this would be what I’d use. This staff is absolutely cracked. Not only do you get insane damage potential, but you also have ~30% elemental damage absorption and ~6 sockets?? wtf

Astral Projector: I know, it’s a bow, but look at this thing. So much int and skill damage. Definitely will carry you until you upgrade.

Beacon of Shadows: If you can kill Uber Reaper, a well rolled Beacon can pair nicely with a thick shield.

Damien’s Corrupted Head: If you can kill Uber Damien, these 3 random affix rolls on this weapon can make for one insane weapon.

Arch Angel’s Phase Blade/Riftmaster’s Dirge: These can be decent 1 hander options as well if you prefer to use a shield. Great until you can upgrade!

Fenrir’s Bloodfang: Buffed in Season 9, another very nice 1 hander. The reduced movement diminish is the highlight of this item. Great until you can upgrade!

Oculus of Ages: Very nice all rounder 1 hand. Big advantage is the high cast rate with resistances, but you still get skills, intelligence, skill damage, maek…this wand is quite nice.

Steve’s Wand of Fortune: Tons of stats, damage and skills. If you don’t mind farming Sheeponia, this is a good wand until you can upgrade.

Dragon Knight’s Flail: Upgraded Divinity basically, but comes with huge -enemy arcane resistance and flat damage.

Uabel’s Wand: Also has decent potential, but we don’t really take advantage of Explosion AoE. Decent until we can upgrade.

Off-Hands...

Off-Hand

Celestial’s Authority: Insane shield, terrible drop rate. This will be expensive.

Defender’s Justice: ~4 skills,Ā Tons of life, all attributes, resistances and space for up to 5 sockets. Very nice mix of affixes. *Based on level is the base amount per level

Sumoni Finland Perkele: ~4 skills,Ā FCR, All res and up to 6 sockets. Compliments fcr based builds quite well. DPS option until you can afford Celestials.

Ancient Aegis: Much like Suomi, decent dps shield with all res until you afford Celestials.

Tombstone: Another taaaaanky ass shield. Huge recovery when you block.

Helmet...

Helmet

Sight of the Gods: Teleporting increases clear speed dramatically. Especially on classes with decent FCR.

Harlequinn’s Veil: Extremely versatile helmet. I think it has every stat a growing caster needs with magic find on top.

Curse: Strong DPS helmet when it hits Arcane. Make in a +5 base for +8 skills total.

*Runes drops have been highly nerfed in S9 so no telling how expensive these runes will be.

Delirium Tremens: Up to +13 all skills if made in a +5 base.

Grimbone’s Visage: Thick helmet with a random affix roll which could hit crazy. Great option until upgrade.

Gabriel’s Dauntless Vision: Best used on skills with a cooldown.

Dragon Knight’s Helmet: Generally used on bosses. You can use a molten paw on the back bar to proc burn.

Gaze of the Oblivion: Look at all that damage and 4 sockets. Sheeeesh. Bit harder to obtain due to Luna.

High Roller’s Deathcrown: If you can manage to get 777 or higher this helmet can roll absolutely disgusting. Don’t count on it or expect this to be obtainable, but still want to mention it.

Chest...

Chest

Arcanist’s Wrath: One of your BiS Arcane Caster Chests. This is most likely what you’ll want.

Grand Arch Wizard’s Mantle: If you plan on mana stacking, you will need this chest.

Shroud of Enigma: Your second option for teleport. Make in a +All Skills base.

Gem King’s Garb: Use x6 Pristine Amethyst to create this. Very thick DPS chest until you can

upgrade.

Wraith’s Clock: (ROLLS RANDOM ELEMENT): Rolls with 2 random affixes. These can be skills too. Kid you not I’ve seen a +16 Lightning Skills Wraith Cloak. Don’t expect that, but this can be great chest and farmable from Uber Reaper, which everyone will be doing.

Grimbone’s Ribcage: Solid chest until you can upgrade

Gloves...

Gloves

Arcanum Asphyxiators: Generally BiS for most Arcane Casters and much better than most other options.

Zealot’s Deathbringer’s: These compete with Arcanum’s and are better in some cases.

Shadow Occultist’s Wraps: Easy to farm and they come with -enemy arcane res.

Spellweavers: Decent option if your skill/augment has the area of effect tag.

Fighter Magi’s Grips: Great for skills with a cooldown and quite easy to farm.

Midas’ Hands: Experience is power in Season 9.

Manahungerers: If rolled with the appropriate element these are great if you plan to manastack.

Boots...

Boots

Astral Roamers: One of the BiS boots for Arcane Casters.

Fuma’s Flipflops: Decent +skills, movement speed. Huge upside is the skill diminish before you get Teleport and phasing through monsters.

Pearlescent Dream: Massive magic skill damage, high all res and some magic find. Generally, these are put on a merc, but great until you can find another pair of boots.

Etherwalk: Fantastic boots for mana sustain. Make in a + skills base. Random skill element…gl!

*Runes drops have been highly nerfed in S9 so no telling how expensive these runes will be.

Windwalker’s Step: Tons of jumping power, double jumps, movement speed, and damage from attributes and magic skill damage. Solid traversal boots.

Desert’s Storm: Very similar to Windwalker’s Step, just less speed and damage. Definitely would rather have Windwalker’s

Adamant Roamers: For those who want to be thick boys.

Belt...

Belt

Rugal’s Sash of Undertaking: Really the best belt you can get at this stage. Tons of tankinest with meat shield proc.

Sash of Eternal Hatred: This belt can get insane due to the 3 random rolls. You could get double skill hits or % damage with double life rolls. Tons of potential here.

Belt of Infinite Wealth: Experience is power in Season 9.

Rings...

Rings

Soulforged Ring: Star Level and Corrupt

Rakhul’s Ritual Band:

Mirror any of your rings!

Signet of Shadows: These rings can get insane with 3 random affix rolls. This will be your second ring once you can far an Arcane version.

The Absence of Constraint: Great upgrade from the satanic rings until you can get an upgrade.

Azazel’s Despair: If you happen to drop an Azazel’s, you can farm Mevius for his soulgem to drop in the socket. Ring will look like this….just Arcane.

Star Level & Corrupt these: These rings can be decent if Star Leveled to Level 5 and hit a decent corruption.

Dragon’s Blessing: Even more experience!

The Downfall of Felps: If your skill/augment has the projectile tag, this could really improve the skill.

Amulet...

Amulet

Philosopher’s Stone: Huge energy buff with ~5 skills and 30% all resistance.

Pendant of Eternity: Offers a large amount of FCR. This is great for builds that thrive on fcr or maybe you need fcr for teleporting, but don’t want to sacrifice other pieces of gear..this gives a decent amount with also offering some damage. Very nice for cooldown skills as well.

Sacred Pendant: Great for Arcane skills that use a cooldown.

Steve’s Necklace: Huge amount of attributes and damage reduction. When paired with Steve’s Charms, you get 25% all res as well. Very nice.

Tarethiel’s Fall: The red text are random affix rolls, but you can get some fuuuuucked up amulets this way.

Thoth’s Agony: Practically required if you push for intelligence stacking on gear and incarnation tree.

Charms...

vCharms

Here are the many charms to look out for when grinding. You can also find very strong mythic charms with +skills, magic skill damage or intelligence.

For Tablet of Awakening, either x4 elemental/chaos gems or um runes for resistances.

Budget Charms can still be great:

Expensive Charms:

Dice: If you get one with your skill on it, ggez

Great for Arcane builds even if

we’re not playing Illusionist

Orbital Skills: If your skill/augment has the Orbital tag, this set is great:

Goburin’s Head: Quite a funny new charm in Season 9

Graxy’s Mom Lure: Great for Experience/More Magic Find

Aimbot.exe: For those like me who can’t aim. This will cause your attacks/casts to target to the closest target regardless of where your mouse is located.

Inferno Only Items

Due to the significant increase in scaling for Inferno difficulty, I have decided to remove all Inferno-specific items from the main gear list. Instead, they are now presented here as aspirational items. This section serves as a guide for what to aim for once your build is powerful enough to handle Inferno. Each item listed here includes the specific boss it drops from, helping you decide which bosses to target for your endgame farming. Good Luck!

ā–¶ļø Merc

Mercenary

Stacking MF/Auras

Currently in Season 8, mercs are generally a mix of magic find bots, aura bots, and ailment-inflicting bots. A merc’s magic find is applied to your on-kill magic find. The auras from the merc himself and his items are applied to everyone in range. Mercs can also inflict ailments, enabling us to take advantage of the 'Extra Damage to Monsters with Specific Ailments' stat, which can be found on certain items or within our skill trees.

Mercenaries can be hired in Act 1, Act 3, and Act 6, each with their own skill trees, which are shown on the following slides.

New to Season 8:

New Slots:

As of Season 8, mercs can now equip gloves, belts, and boots, giving us more options to stack MF or auras.

N****ew Skill Buffs:

Not to be disregarded are the buffs to merc skills, making them a bit more viable in terms of damage output. While this still needs to be explored further throughout the season, some skills may already be strong enough to carry you through some bosses early on while leveling.

Knight Merc

Knight

This is the Skill build for the

Act 1 Knight Merc

The Knight Merc is a melee fighter with many passive defensive abilities and strong crowd control, which can not only save the player but also keep himself alive, ensuring we don’t lose our buffs from his gear.

Archer Merc

Archer/Ranger

This is the Skill build for the

Act 3 Archer/Ranger Merc

The Archer/Ranger Merc is a Ranged fighter with a few passive defensive abilities, really good AS Buffs and crowd control, which can help the player reach new heights of Attack Speed and Survivability.

If you want to use your merc mostly for Damage and choose this merc for his attack speed buff, you can stack enough cooldown reduction to maintain 100% uptime. However, don’t neglect his survivability and attack speed, as he needs to attack consistently to proc the buff.

Magister Merc

Magister

This is the Skill build for the

Act 6 Magister Merc

The Magister Merc is a Ranged Caster with the least Survivability of all the Mercs but a good Magic Skill Dmg Buffs and Defensive Aura.

If you want to use your merc mostly for Damage rather than Magic Find and choose this merc for his M2 Damage and Defensive buff, you can sacrifice some MF and stack enough cooldown reduction to maintain 100% uptime. However, don’t neglect his survivability and attack speed, as he needs to attack consistently to proc the buff.

šŸ’² Ether Tree

To obtain points for your Ether Tree, you simply need to unlock Hell difficulty. Once in-game, you will automatically have quests to complete. These grant Ether Tree points.

As Season 9 Progresses, I will be taking notes of Ether Tree Meta’s and updating them here. All of this is just increases your farm and has no player power.
